does anyone do this?? it seems like it could be really cool.. where can i find the ips of some games??

Go to www.planesid.com and you will find an extensive list of On-line SMAC players and forms to get e-mail and IP games up.

thanks ras for the suggestion.... i did manage to play a bit of a online game last night but there were a couple of bugs it seemed... also, the only thing bad about it is that its sooooo time consuming. oh well, still the best single player game, and maybe a good multiplayer as well.

well...SMAC works fine and is quite fun as a E-mail Game..so join one and try it...just to see for yourself.
As an on-line game, it is hard to end one but i have made some good 4 way games with simultaneous turns. If you have problems, try with regular turns...and check that site. There, you will find ICQ's and E-mail's from players who are interested in keeping Multi games going. That way, chances are high that you meet again to end that particular thrilling game you were playing when your brother decided to use the phone
