I had to use PB against a human faction for the first time. To keep the chance to win the game I had to do it. (he is larger in pop, has more mineral output but less tech than I)It's strange I have no remorse at all when I lunch PB against the computer but against my Multiplayer oponent I have strong remorse. Has anyone else also ever felt that way? Colbru

I have never had a MP game get to that tech level, but I don't think that would bother me at all. It's not like I were really nuking their hometown Aredhran |

I would definetely feel very rotten doing something like that. In fact I feel its an action of depicable cowardice and sneakiness - especially since its me its happening to.Colbru you nervegassing misfit - I should have wiped you out somewhere in the previous 100 years when I could easily have done so. The only comfort I have is as we play by mail I don't actually see the blasts, but the craters are ugly enough though buh-hu-hu-sob-sob. Anyway I guess I will play other games after this and in the hope that I will emerge as a wiser and less atrociously repressed player I have decided to change my alias. |

PB's ROCK! I tell you, after playing civ and civ 2 I wasn't expecting much from these PBs, but when I saw the explosion, the total annihilation of the base, and the gaping crater, I fell in love. But I wouldn't use them on a human player. Unless I was being attacked by that player.A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to enhance all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty -Albert Einstein. Datalinks. But then again... Pop goes the weasel. -Anon. Datalinks. |

Kimlet's change positions for a moment. You were UoP and I were Gaia. Would you have waited as UoP till I would have discoverd Air Power in about 10 more turns? And so lost all the chances to win that game? I've learned from you now how to get secret projects early in the game. And you should have learned not to defend your citys only with one unit. On the other hand if you would have built a stronger defens force you would not have been able to build all that energy banks, Tree Farms and so on. You became to fast a thread (in economic and research terms). This game is so complex that's why I love it!!!!! BTW this is my first Multiplayer game. I don't have the motivation anymore to play only against AI... this human factor is great. Colbru

PB's against a human player should be no problem. You are helping them reach their main goals:Deirdre wishes to commune with Planet: Make it easier for her by spreading her molecules all over Planet. Yang wishes for a communal state: Mix all his follower's molecules together. Zakharov wishes to pursue knowledge and research: Provide him the means to directly experience ultra high energy physics. Morgan wishes to corner the Planetary energy market: Give hime some extra energy. Santiago wishes to be a valiant warrior and leader: Help her demonstrate her courage under fire, and on fire. Miriam wishes to be closer to her Maker: Send her to meet Him. Lal wishes for peace: When your enemies are dead, the world is a peaceful place. See, it's not so bad |

Thanks JAM, I have my moments of coherence while running on four hours of sleep a day (none at night) and a continual caffeine IV drip. (just kidding) |
