I've decided to start a new chronical to pick up where Firaxis is leaving off, and in light of the lack of support,I'm still hopefull that some of the original CoFH and AFC posters will join in.

Here are the basic rules:
1.No killing faction leaders
2.No destroying another person's charictar
3.You may not destroy another faction comletely(but you can still shake them up pretty badly!)
4.No total destruction of Planet

I am planning to cover the early years in the first chronical, then jump ahead 35 years to the present.

Chonical layout:
Intoduction: Wherever Firaxis leaves off-Landing.
1st chronical:Shortly after landing-2101-2
2nd-(However many we get through) chronical:~2135-?

Anyone who has never done this before, Dive in! Old chronicalers:feel free to join in at any time.

I don't know if anyone has done this yet or not, but I would be very interested to see the Chronicles include a more extensive narrative of the events hinted at in SMAC's quotes from "Our Secret War" and "The Fall Of Sparta". These seem to portray a war between the Gaians and the Spartans, with the Gaians using their psi talents to defeat the Spartans. Those simple little quotes have the potential for some *awesome* stories, IMO -- imagine a tale that described the battle whose aftermath is depicted by "The Dream Twister"'s payoff movie. (Was it just me, or did that _totally_ creep you guys out?

I've done some writing in the not-too-distant past, and I'd be willing to make a contribution to the task of depicting this war -- but because the events involved are so wide-reaching, I wouldn't want to tackle it alone. Besides, an epic event like this would be best viewed from a wide variety of angles, seeing the perspectives of many different players in the war. What say you, Gaians and Spartans? Anybody interested?

So I take it bringing in the Death Star is a Bad Thing?
