posted 07-29-99 09:39 PM ET My friends and I are suprised with all the discussion about Diedre being a B$%@#. We have found Diedre to be a pain at times but Miriam is the one who is THE B$#%^ of all time. She always wants something for nothing, can almost never form an aliance and when you do she will break it and declare Vendetta. Diedre can be a pain but if you build Centauri Preserves she will be at least neutral. If you have a green government she can be a great ally provided Miriam or the Hive is not kicking her butt. So, are the experience of my friends and myself that different from the rest of the forum???

My opinions are pretty much the same as yours, except that I have often seen Miriam form Pacts against a mutual enemy. Deirdre is usually a loyal ally, but then I always switch to a Green economy at some point. Of course, that is probably the ONLY way to get along with her. Since Free Market economy seems to be so popular, it's natural that a lot of players would have Deirdre as an enemy.

I usually find that the above is quite true. I usually find that Deirdre is very easy to appease with insignificant donations of credits, and she tends to be WAY ahead on ecology- research; she is usually eager to trade.
