How does this faction sound (balanced or no)?
+2 Police
+1 Industry
-2 Planet
Agenda: Thought Control
Aversion: Democratic

Sounds fine to me, though you may find that in games on transcend level, that -2 planet will kill you, and unless you use green, you'll be in for a good deal of frustration when planet goes nuts on you. Which leads to my next point-- you really NEED to use green in that case, which means slow growth with the -2 it gives. And since you can't use democracy, you can never population boom with the demo/planned/creche "trick", so you really need those vats to guarantee victory.
I am NOT saying to make this faction more powerful, as +2 police and +1 industry can be a huge boost, especially early on when drones are a real nuisance and fast industry is critical to get those secret projects. I just wanted to show that there are other less obvious disadvantages besides the plusses and minuses, that factor in to a similar extent (or greater).

I ALREADY CREATED A SITH FACTION! I have strict copyright on it too... I suggest you change the name of yours...

My deepest apologies, but I was trying to create a scenario with the Jedi vs. Sith. I downloaded the Jedi faction from somewhere (Alpha Centauri Nexus I think) and since I couldn't find a Sith faction I decided to create my own. Now that I know there's already one out there, I think I'll change this to "Trade Federation". Also, I would be extremely grateful if you would find it in your heart to allow me to use your faction and I shall send you a copy of the Jedi faction. My email address is [email protected].

Zak-- I don't think the faction needs to be changed-- it is balanced as is.
As for this "copyright" crap, I don't see what's the big deal as long as you don't try to sell it or anything. I'm not sure if this guy is joking around... so Dehlan, could you give us a little clarification?

Im not SELLING my faction, and Sith Faction wasent the exact name. Gorge Lucas cant do anything about it, and science i didnt use anything in it that wasnt already public domain, you probably could sell it. And I think that the guy who sold me copywrite was ripping me off cuz, everything was public domain already, so i suppose you can use the same name as mine, but plz, make sure people know its a different version.
