Here's my faction I have created so that it can be viewed and judged worthy by you SMAC 'veterans' . I think it was quite fair, considering -2 Planet is a hefty penalty and +1 support isn't that great:

Uhm...
A drone and a talent for every one citizen you have? How does that work? All it does (if it works) is keeping you from droneriots and golden ages (always equal drone-talent) in the beginning...

What?! A 'swear' word as innocent as **** gets censored? :/ Ah well. By the way, went back to check out what you were talking about, and all factions get the:
DRONE, 1, TALENT, 1
section in their faction files when I viewed this information with ACEDIT 2.0

Yeah I'm Australian, but no not from any of those places I actually live in Perth, but I don't think Perth would be known as one of Australia's more important cities. Wanted to get old Governor names and the larger cities of Australia in there considering my leader has an Australian background. I didn't want it to be an AUSTRALIAN faction because that would limit the other names and you know how it goes in the intro : "Not divided by race, but ideology"

It's a place in Croatia, in Hrvatsko Zagorje, where I live. Not far from Zagreb, it's very clean (forests and all that), and we have thermal wells (boreholes, if you want).
If you ever come in Croatia, contact me and I'll get you in for free.

It's the only city in the western half of Australia. Population 1.5 million. If you look in an atlas and find Australia and then look in the South-Western Corner, you'll find it. You can't miss it, it's the most isolated city in the world. (City not settlement )

Okay, this is just an idea, but could you add New Hobart to the list of cities, near thermal boreholes, as hobart is an absolute hole?
Also, you may want to do the same for New Adelaide. I only got SMAC a week ago and am still learning about everything, but what are custom factions? Also, are there any other customisations that you can do?

Teddybeer : Custom fations in AC are modified (or absolutley new, made from nothing) factions. You can find them on net, or you can modify or make new one your self. Custom nation can also have their own graphics (pictures, bases). They can have anything: extra tehnology on the start, extra starting units, SE modifiers, extra buildings in every of their bases...
You can modify or create your own faction using ACEdit (find it on [url]civilization.gamestats.com/smac[/url])
