(Story so far)
With the help from JT3, the Octospider race soon became a fairly sizeable empire. The fleet protecting the fledgling colinies spared them from spending early resources on defence, and so they could quickly build up infrastructure and population. The Octospiders biological technology became quickly apparent, as seen from the instant population boom. Within WEEKS each of the three planets were fully colonized, and expansion to the moons begun. The planets ecosystem was quickly analyzed and reformed to maximize compatiblility with the Octospiders. Harmony on all three planets were reached, and industrial and technological output was near max. The first trade ships were already on their way. Payment to JT3 had worked out to some VERY secret biological technology, and JT's fleet had been dismissed.
All other pacts with the other empires have been accepted.
Spider seems to be the most compatible, and more seriouse negotiations are likely to happen.

Chief Optimizer Datalink was feeling secure. All three planets were running at max optomization, and the planets themselves had produced some new advances in the technological field upon examination. Two new technological advancements had occured that greatly enhanced to capabilities of the empire. Midget Morphs (the morphing of Octospiders down to the size of an egg(this allowed speech with very small creatures and creation of small creatures that could be controlled.)) and the creation of the Anheg (a antlike creature the size of a horse that had arms like an elephants trunk. EXSTREMLY good builders.)
"This is Chief Optomizer Dataink to all other Empiers. My race is a peacefull one, and we do not desire war in any way. We will go to exstremes to prevent war, and wish peace with all other races. But if you think that we are weak, then you are gravely mistaken. We will fight is forced to, though very reluctantly. I have named my Capital planet Erehwon, and the capital city Erehwon fo Egde. I would welcome all talks of peace and trade."

Greetings from Spider, dominant persona of the Trans-Chironian mind. Biotech is a feild of consuming interest to us, as manipulation of non-organic material is extremely difficult for me/us without manipulatory creatures. [OOC]So, you're an Arthur C. Clarke fan? I always said there should be more here.... BTW, I use "[OOC]" and "[/OOC]" to designate the beginning and end, respectively, of Out-Of-Character mode.[/OOC] Perhaps an exchange of genetic samples could be arranged? Further communication would be appreciated.

Could you please forward a quick description of the AOP with some rules and regulations. If they don't conflict with my species i am willing to join.

Datalink: Think NATO.
We have elctions every once in a while to determine the Commanders. Right now, I am Supreme Commander, although that might change soon as it seems we are about to hold elections. Basicly, we are an Economic, Political, and Militaristic alliance. Anyone who joins automaticly has a Pact with all other members. We back each other up. If you have any specific questions, just ask.

I will agree to join if you can answer the following question. Do I have to give military support? Or can I just give financial/technological support. My race is averse to war in any way, though we will support our allies. But it would be preferable if we could give financial/technological instead of military support when needed.

Well, you will have to give military support if the Factions in the AOP vote for all AOP Factions to join in whatever war. Otherwise, technologicl/financial support would be great.
