I am creating the Protectorate. This is an alliance like the UA and the AoP, except in the ability that they are democratically motivated and organized. This will be a 2 faction deal. Only 1 other faction will be able to join, and I will consider the the applicants very carefully. Once inducted the faction of choice will be granted passage and military aid from the Protectorate.

Well then that makes this a good deal. Pulling out of the AoP would have ben a hard decision for me to make. We hope you will consider the Combine able allies and that we can aid you in this Protectorate.

How does the Protectorate work if it's not democratic?

This is the way it works.
It is a military alliance. The superior force's (ie larger force) commander leads the fleet without hesitation. You have seen how militaristic our society is, we tolerate no dissent.

I am expanding the powers of the Protectorate. They will include military and ecnomic aid, but will still be run by me. I might, in later days, decree that the factions entering the Protectorate will have to be void of any other affliations.

I will agree to the control of all Protectorate Fleets is yours. However, if I am forced to choose between the AOP and Protectorate, I will choose the AOP. I want to stay in this alliance, but I also want to stay in the AOP.

Greetings Marshall. As you have heard we have withdrawn from the AoP, to pursue a full treaty with the Confederacy. We feel that this measure would benefit both our races by:
1. Increased Production [More of my worlds can get back on track by building infastructure]
2. Increased Military [More of your planets can be moved to produce fleets, because of the Combine's worlds producing more infastructure.]
3 Increased Economy and Growth [More trade and colonies moving their agendas to economy and growth.]

You dare care me a puppet of the AoP? This is not a puppet, as you have seen one of the members is taking a lesser role in the AoP to pursue better relations with us. The AoP is still under all regulations emplied by our decree.
On to the Protectorate, I am removing all members, and reopening it to the initial stages of choosing, to be fair to Ambassador Collins and Korian. As of now all other ships within Confederate Space are being escorted to the border. We are begining to reconsider the proposals to enter the Protectorate, we will require two reasons on why you would like to join the Protectorate and what would benefit both factions.

We are declaring a state of war against the Confederacy and the Shadows. As of 0500 they attacked our military posts on Marsonia and Umoja. The attacks were feeble however. We have seized the bodies of over 100,000 Shadows and are preparing to sell them to the Combine.

Better not sell them, since they are still alive. If a shadow is killed, his body will fade in appr. 8 hours, even if reanimated. Since they do not fade, they are not dead, and so can still be very dangerous. Be carefull. Ronin out.

Yes, I learned this first hand when I captured a Shadow ship in the last attack(OOC note: I gave up the whole "mind control of the Shadows" thing). They are very dangerous, indeed.

They have already been transported to the Combine and we are sending them our defensive fleets to safeguard their metamorphisis. They also are combine our DNA with the Shadows to evolve. This will foster a new era of peace between us.
We hope that the evolution is going well. Any ships that are not AoP that approach Combine worlds will we disabled. All AoP ships that approach Combine worlds with malecontent, (remember we are telepathic) will be disabled.
We have studied the probable effects of the Herclux evolution. They are:
*Physically Stronger
*Mentally Stronger
*Growth Rates lower
*Research Lowers
*Support Raises
*Telepathic Powers become most powerful in known Galaxy
*Them evolving to serve the Shadows
*Them evolving to serve us
*Them evolving to make Shadows or us serve them
*Their entire destruction (telepathic power becomes unstable)
Any of these have a percentage of happening.
