I think this alliance is necessary for conservative factions. The AoP is much to liberal to suit my needs. Any faction which is not currently a member of the AoP may join. This alliance will be universal in the sense that it extends throughout the universe and that it encompasses all aspects of the nation. Please respond at your greatest conveinance.

First, the AFP wotes YEA for the economic treaty. We feel that this will help promote peaceful relations between the UA and the AoP.
Second, I propose the Constution of the Universal Alliance. This would outline our rules and regulations and positions, at which point we could then vote for a leader, ect. We need a gov't where all members are equally reprisented, and we should keep our elected leader from becoming too powerful.

I propose that we put all of our fleets on full alert and shift 15% of our production towards war material. I am not declaring war, as neither the Shadows nor Michael have threatened us, but we should be on guard. Well, it looks like the econ. treaty has been voted down, 2-1. I agree we should form a Constitution. I am not going to vote on the military treaty until we figure out what the deal is with Augustus Michael and the Shadows.

This will only be a military alliance for us. Any other aspects of this alliance, we will not participate in. We might be too conservative for our own good but that's the way we are. Also even though we are allies, all Confederate Space is closed to everything but merchant ships. Any military ships near our borders (within 1 parsec) will constitute an act of war.

I agree we should form a Constitution. I am not going to vote on the military treaty until we figure out what the deal is with Augustus Michael and the Shadows.
