This is not an anti-Brotherhood thread.
I ask all willing factions to join an alliance so that we can observe the Brotherhood, its schemes and plans. Also we would scan space to gain information on alien races.
This is not a military alliance. I ask that we pool survelliance technology and survelliance information. The combined power of our spy networks would be able defend our individuality.

I am willing to let you have an embassy on any of my planets/space stations. You do not need to scan me, as I will release any info you ask for(besides idiotic things, like "where are you going to attack me next?")

The BrotherHood suports this. As I have said before, Freedom of Information is very important to us. Also, The BrotherHood will open all datafiles to you. We have nothing to hide.

I find this extremely offensive. I will not let you fools gather intelligence from our faction while we sit around and do nothing. If you think this proves we are hiding something, ask yourself if you would let other nations probe you without repercussions for them. Collins, if you go through with this my faction will pull out of the Brotherhood.

I will join this, if you are willing to permit me(I'm a member of the "evil" Brotherhood). I am not joining to scan the Brotherhood, but to join our scanners and search space, looking for anything and everything.

The Ceres Alliance would be very interested in becoming a member of this group. Frankly, we find the quasi-totalitarian views of the Brotherhood suspicious indeed.

The first event the involved me with The BrotherHood was when I was assimilated. At first I resisted, but then I came to realize the good in assimilation. Soon I was a powerful leader in The BrotherHood.
Soon, I started running an underground campain for peace. Although it was hard, eventually, LeaderShip embraced my ideas, and what we have today began to form.
We no longer controll the minds of our people, we merely enhance them.
This enhancement does not do anything to impair their individuality. In fact, we have many people who are so radical you would label them as traitors and execute them. We, however, listen to their ideas and consider them. Many changes have been made to our government based on the ideas of these "disidents".
If you still think we are "quasi-totalitarian", then please state your concerns and we will try to resolve them.

Of course we have nothing to hide. Silly me. I guess we can tell everyone about any new, classified tech. we discover, and tell them the exact location of every weapon emplacement in the empire. It's also not a big deal to give the other factions enough data to let them upload viruses onto every one of our citiznes. OK, Collins, go ahead, but if you do, it will be without us.

The Freedom Alliance would seem to be a new, and revitalised SETI. The Ceres Alliance has of course had a small radio telescope for several years, but with our meager resources, it is doubtful we would hear anything in a million years.
But together... ah! With our combined resources, it may be possible to answer that final question: Are we alone? I ferverently hope not.
The Ceres Alliance supports the Freedom Alliance wholeheartedly!
