Morgan Inc. yes we could do business with the Spartans. And the UoP is a good place to pick up ideas-of course to get those ideas to the market you need a sales force so it's a good fit. OK, let's see the Hive has to go first-can't have any of that "hive mentality" floating around you could catch something nasty. Then I think the beleivers would need to be "taken care of next" OK who's for a little corporate raiding. |

Imran, with all due respect as a fellow Morganite, you do not own Morgan industries. We need to establish a board of directors for the Morgan Industries, so these crazy alliances are not established frivolously. We can easily exploit the Spartan advantages without sacrificing our own agenda. Spartans, no offense, are not the smartest lot. Now, as a charter board member, I must say that I support actions against the hive. Their philosophy counters the Morgan value of the individual pursuit of wealth and power. Finally, you may note that I am committed to the Morgan Industries demonstrated by my 'Name'. I changed when the forums crashed to show my resolve that the Morganites will dominate Planet. |

Landon, in the interest of all of Morgan Industries, I set up Morgan-Spartan alliance. After all, ALL of the people here have expressed a willingness to join in this alliance (read the previous posts!). Also, as best Morganite (As voted in SMACer of the Year), I feel that I am privy to being interm CEO at the moment. Only the Spartans understand our beliefs and accept them, along with us. CEO LANDON I would take care with the ladder climbers, but how do you have productive management with out the ones eager to replace you? I would suggest finding copies of a little know show from FOX, cancelled before a full season. (I think...) The show was called PROFIT. Watching these would give you the motivation to be absolute in you ruthlessness...

Just a note, Atrocities are mere bargaining chip(for me at least), I almost never use them, they are just used for standoffs(like a cold war). Sure, we can have weapons of mass destruction pointed at one another, but if we don't use them, it's not all that bad. It make the balance of power shift a bit considering that my ability to wipe out half your empire would make you reconsider attacking me. That's all I really do with atrocities, it's just something so that a treat isn't an empty one. I'm definitely going to be Hive/UoP, and I know how to bargain things(mostly I just bargain for neutrility). Participation in wars are destructive and wasteful, much resources are wasted on wars, and wars jepardize defense. By maintaining my neutrality, I refuse to be sucked into wars(I hope all my allies would do the same), this way, I can produce more domestic gains and be better able to maintain my neutrality. A morgan Spartan alliance would be hard to maintain that kind of neutrality, considering that both of them are geared toward expansionistic ways. Just a note, don't intrude upon those that you're not prepared to take on. (Does anyone here do adequate survalence?) The reason why I'm so efficient at managing resources is because I reduce my distractions such as wars. My suggestion for everyone, we can all stay in our own territory and not fight, this way, everyone is better off(yes, until someone starts fighting, and everyone else gangs up on that person). In Civ2, I found that the Offensive powers are much greater than the defensive, so I've worked a strategy around that to maintain my neutrality. I know you all want to kill the Hive, but in real multiplayer games(in January), faced against real human opponents, attacks can easily get you destroyed, especially a faction with little penalty for commiting atrocities.
