Has anyone build all SPs on Thinker or Transcend level? I'm trying and trying but it seems impossible. Is it doable?

its possible buddy. the thing is- the ai gets alot more sly up here on transend, they only trade you techs after theyve milked it for any SPs that may come attached.pour as much effort into research as u can, you must lead new tech, not just aquire more than everybodyelse. use probe teams to get tech if somebodyelse already got it first, if you can get the intelligence, try an hijack there SP efforts whilst throwing money at your own favoured projects. now take this knowledge- AND CONQUER!. |

oh, hang on, just re-read your message, you mean ALL SPs!(said in new found awe of one who may, by aspiration alone, be far far graeter a 'Player' then myself) |

I've gotten all but one (The Merchant Exchange) playing the University on transcend level before (by the way, the true challenge is to get all of them in one city; anyone can have all of the SPs at game's end simply by capturing other player's bases). The trick is to get to industrial automation as soon as possible so that you can make supply crawlers and boost your mineral production up to the point where you can make SPs faster than the computer. If you keep up with your technology you should be able to get all of the later ones, although getting all of the early ones is hard because the technology required for them is easy to get and it takes some time to get your mineral production up. |

I've never managed to get all of the SPs. You'll probably miss a few in the beginning. You should be able to pick up all of the mid and late level SPs with a little work. |

At Thinker, i usually, like S_Carton_Esq, miss out on the Merchant Exchange. Often Miriam gets it!I think i'll go home now. As another S. Carton was once reported to have said: "Tis a far better thing i do than i have done, tis a far better rest i go to than i have known", since daybreak.

If it's fun? Well it's quite a challenge isn't it? Besides, after playing a number of smash'em and crush'em avalanche games and having been the peaceful scientist, trying to build all of 'em SPs is a new conquest. It requires a different approach. |
