No, I'm not out of my mind, I just always get a conquest victory much sooner than I'd be able to run for planetary governer, so I have no use for it. |

Hmz.Always lovely to have full control over what the opponents are doing... +3 for Planetary Governour. Repeal UN Charter makes the game so much more interesting, IMO. I just love PBing my enemies' most important cities.You also can not beat the extra cash you get from salvaging the Unity fusion core. And last but not least, becoming planetary governer is useful if only for the infiltrator you get in every faction during you term. My fav faction to play is Morgan, and I like to Transcend. Thus, I want to be the Planetary Governor and then Start up a Global Trade Pact. I guess to make the list complete, the Salvage will be 3rd simply because it's useful in every game. This is the fault of SMAC, and discussed many times before. And the fact that it favors fast conquest won't make this voting fair isn't it?

Aehm, ForcePacifist, I miss where the "pacifist" part of your nickname fit into your last post Maybe right as a dart into your enemy's hearth?  About the (pretty useless?) poll: 1st) Planetary gov. (infiltration is really powerful and I like to put my veto against stupid AI factions proposal) 2nd) Global Trade Pact (when I play as a builder or hybrid, as I usually do) 3th) Repeal UN Charter (when I've got a bad day at work and I want to play conqueror) IMHO I don't think we should vote for "Elect supreme leader" (eh eh, what a pun ) because it's really an "end game decision" thrown here in Council instead in a separate menu like the "market corner victory". actually mconstant, if you get elected as supreme leader by everyone accept The Hive for example, you could find yourself as an allience against a vast and unrelenting totalitarian enemy, meaning a war that goes on for quit awhile. |

Governor - 3. It is both a gateway, a milestone, and profitable. You attain the Governership before you really do anything else, and being Governor helps you stop the kooks from melting the ice caps or sucking out all the atmosphere and depositing it on Nessus or something similarly wise ...Supreme Leader - 2. Winning is always fun. Global Pact - 1. By the time this option becomes available I've usually got some pact brothers & submissives to trade with. Especially if enemy AI's are being cranky and committing atrocities they won't get their share -- but I always do!
