Ok i really need help...SOMEONE HELP ME!! I have Imaging for Windows and thats what i use to view pcx files. Now ACEdit creates my 3 pcx files for editing...and i can open them fine with imaging. I have found a bitmap image (.bmp) file that i would like to use in my pcx file. When i tryed to cut and paste the bmp into the pcx file..it said i cannot insert custom pallete images and i should re-format my bmp image. So i saved my bitmap with a .pcx extension. I tried to insert the file again and i got the same error. Nothing i do ever works. I need someone to help me PLEASE! HELP!

im kinda wondering that too...
well i used MS Photo Editor (came w/Office 97 Pro) to open the pcx, then change it to .bmp, and save it. Then you can edit the .bmp in MS Paint, and save it. Then you can change it back to a .pcx. I can't get the transparency to work though, I think you need Paint Shop Pro.
