posted 07-05-99 02:36 AM ET I am a bit embarrassed but I cannot figure out how to conqer sea bases. Killing all defenders is not a problem but what unit (what special ability) would enter it after that? Could somebody please help?

You have to design a unit with amphibious pods.
(I guess there is disadvantages/advantages to have this as a special ability..if you know what I mean )

Thanks guys for a really fast advice. I must say that I have tried amphibious pods and it didn't work for me. Those stupid marines didn't want to land at sea???? I didn't try warships though...

The one I really hate is the base siting on a 1 square island - then you cant sail a ship into it to take it.
Will drop units land in a sea base?

Isles of the deep will also capture sea bases. And a 1-square island is accessible to drop troops (unlike seabases).

One of my favorite ways is to hit them hard with copters and fly in the locusts of chiron, combined with a battleship youcan take 1,2, or 3 bases per turn.
