A population boom means that a city will grow every turn provided excess nutrients are available and hab complex size is not exceeded. Population booms can be achieved through very high growth (+5 or +6, I think, from a combination of Planned, Democracy, Children's Creche, The Hive bonus, Golden Age, Eudaimonic etc), through a special event, or through The Cloning Vats (which makes a boom in ALL your cities, and is one of the best couple of wonders).Clean units require no support from the city that builds them - all other unit take a mineral in support (except those supplied by your Support rating on the Social Engineering table). - Sheitan |

sure there is...become planetary governor, buy the votes of ANY/ALL allies and call the council to lift the atrocities prohibition...The Hive captured 6 of my larger border cities(my fault for letting defenses down due to pact)...anyway, as planetary governor, I lifted prohibitions and nerve gassed the living heck out of him! =) He's just bloody lucky I didn't have any fusion pb's made and deployed...LOLEK Long Live Sparta!!! |

You also get a pop boom when the number of talents in your base exceeds the number of workers |
