Right clicking and then selecting the air drop location overrides all restrictions except the range. It is possible to do multiple jumps as long as the unit health permits making a blietzkrieg possible. Using the 'i'-shortkey instead of right clicking will follow the restrictions according to the manual.
Is this an old one? I am new here.

Yes, it is an old one, but it should definately be fixed.
