I have recently started playing as the gaians.I normally play as spartans and i am having big energy problems.I never seem to have enough.I play exactly like i always do I don't put up that many solar collectors. But for dome reason when i play as Gaians i have very little cash at all.Any one have any suggestions on how to make more energy.I know this is probably small problem but it's starting to really annoy me.

Tip:Build lots of Solar Collectors early on. I don't really see how you can get by without. They will be your only real energy source besides rivers for quite some time. |

Solar Collectors are great, esp fi they're on higher terrain. If one of your citizens can't harvest it, use a supply crawler. You can also edit how much money you want to start with in the faction text files. |

Or put down a few forest and try to get a econ +2. |

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong......You have +1 Planet rating! Use it! Hunt mind worms like crazy. Send out hunting squads of rovers, find and kill worms. Capture worms. Use them to hunt more. Get away from your bases so that the worms you capture are independent. Explore! Find pods and goodies. Planet forests here and there. They grow. You can worry about the solar collectors as the game goes on. They are fine, but if you want to play the Gaians, play GREEN! |

Jimmytrick is right, play green with the Gaians and get Green econ ASAP. Mindworm farming is a great way to build an army and make money (your capture rate will decline as each time you capture a new boil, so use some of those guys to expand your empire)Its also a great idea, as already mentioned, to build solar collectors and forests. Planting a few forests early is extremely useful, esp. in a remote area you plan to expand into. By the time you get there you can build a colony and start on tree farm/hybrid forest, production and population will skyrocket at these bases. Your early cities should definitely have farms and solar collectors on as many squares as possible. Collecting energy from distant boreholes with supply crawlers can boost energy fast, too. ...and I'm sure you already know about building energy banks, fusion labs, and all those other econ boosting structures. wondering what jimmytrick had for breakfast today... sandworm |

Build Farm-Road-Solar Collector early in game on each rolling square. And forests for other. You can't get more than 2 minerals anyway until EcoEng, so 1food-2minerals-1energy is useful. |
