I was wondering is there anything like monoliths in, on, or under the water? If there is I haven't found one yet unless I don't know what I am looking at. I know about the landmarks. Is there anything else hiding out there?

No, there are no monoliths at sea. You could edit alhpa.txt, so you'll be able to _build_ monoliths at sea..... |

There are monoliths -under- the sea, but you have to lower sea levels or raise adjacent terrain to use them, i.e., they have to be above ground to use. |

Not quite true. If land containing a monolith sinks and becomes an ocean shelf, you can use it to upgrade sea units. I've had games in which the Ruins were fully submerged. |

Yeah, I've used submerged monoliths too. |

Do submerged monoliths look any different? |

No, just the monolith sticking out of water. It still give 2-2-2 in resources. However, it is quite useful to use it to upgrade cruisers on their way to the operating theatre. |
