Hello all! I started playing after installing the patch as the UoP and started near the Borehole Cluster. After ~50 turns I built three cities, each near each Borehole, and quickly researched up to +3 max minerals technology, and continued to build Children's Creche, Energy Bank and +3 max energy technology. I won about 100 turns later, with a lot of military units I built at this bases...Am I the only one to think this is too powerful? Mr. Planet didn't have the time to get on my nerves, and I paid all of the factions other than one each time, the one I crushed :-)

I have to agree with Trippin' The borehole's are nice but starting near the cluster is not overwhelming. Me thinks you got lucky in more ways than just location. Goob |

The Borehole cluster does really boost the minerals in a base. Just be careful when sea levels rise. With a pressure dome, your base survives but the boreholes don't, so that base that produced 70 or more minerals/turn suddenly only produces 20 or even less. |
