is there any way to prevent that damn asteroid from falling on you. I was the Morgans on Librarian and lost 3 cities and 5 wonders (not to mention the energy).

I think you were hit by somebodies planet buster... how far were u into the game? did it leave a huge crater? and if not... and this did happen.. i think this makes the list for top 5 bugs |

Nope!An asteroid hitting you is a random event. It only hits the most powerful nation. There is an incentive to spread out your wonders. |

I've gotten hit by asteriods twice now, but ive only lost one city each time, likely cause i spread my cities out, and once a wonder. No way to avoid it, even if you reload autosaves, it is a random event. |

What level do you all play on? I mean no wonder it never hits me.. I play on thinker r transcend most of the time... so im rarely the most powerful nation, and if i am, it isn't by much... so ive never seen the asteriod. How come it doesn't hit my enemies |

Sorry, I couldn't help but laugh at this "even if you reload autosaves, it is a random event" Think about it for a moment . . . *lightbulb over your head* If was random it shouldn't happen next turn. Try reloading a game like 5 turns back and see if it still happens, or if another random event happens. I am kind of curious about the result. |

Sorry, wording was awkward, tried to put two ideas in the same sentence, b/c I was in a hurry going somewhere else.Yes I have tried the autosaves that far back (5 turns), also tried reloading after energy market crashes and it still happens. |

I think that "random" events are set to happen when you first start your game. What difficulty were you playing at? I also think Firaxis added new random events with each successive difficulty level. |
