Have to agree with TMEX, here ... I use sea bases for energy production - tidal harnesses are great!In the late game, though, I will often start new sea bases and plant fungus within each tile of the base production radius. I play Gaians quite a bit, and after gaining the higher Centauri techs, sea fungal tiles provide a great balance of resources - problem is mixing kelp farms with fungus, as the farms will expand and 'overtake' the fungal tiles in time. So, for resource bonus tiles [mines, energy, etc.] I'll build either a mine or a tidal harness and leave the kelp out to save my precious fungus! d.brodale |
