I'm playing this long,long T-I game as Yang. My main opp is the beautiful, but sneaky, Diedre, and I have this [*I thought*] faithful toady in Zharkov.
Suddenly I'm getting flights of Green Planes coming out of the Univ's bases. Darn toady made a deal w/ her. This is my back door... WAY behind the lines.
In desperation, I drove a AAA Copter [20-10-11] over and parked it in the same Univ. city as her planes. Actually I didnt know I could do this, but I landed there.
That was 4 turns ago, and the enemy planes have not moved since! I don't know if they're "stuck" or the AI is just being typically dumb, or what would happen if they flew off somewhere.
Reminds me of the GrafSpee stuck in [neutral] Montevideo with the British Navy offshore.

well druid.. it seems as if your screwed.. ur playing iron man, so u can reload to find out.. well u can.. but that would defeat the whole purpose of iron man.. it looks like your just gonna have to either leave your copter there to find out, r move your copter out of the city and maybe get bombarded... its as sandman said.. do u feel lucky

At least *g* until my defenses in the area are much stronger.
I'm MORE than pleased to have 1 of my copters tied up, in exchange for a dozen of Diedre's planes. I'll trade at 1:12 ratio any day..
And, of course, I *cant* go back and see what happens. I didnt happen to exit/save at that particular point...
It's been 2 more turns [I dont play *ALL* day !] and those planes are still there... enjoying the Univ's Student Center, I guess.

sorry sandworm... i guess ive been hearing my friends metallica cd one to many times.. can't get the d***ed enter sandman song out of my head...
