Ok, you got a project that gives you a command center in every city, you got one that gives you a naval yard in every city, you got one that gives you a bioenhancement center in every city, but wait, there's something missing from all these...What I want to know is, why isn't there a project that gives you an Aerospace complex in every city? Was it cut? Did they just overlook it? Did it disrupt/unbalance gameplay too much? What happened?

Unlike Command Center and Naval Yards, Aerospace Complex has a 2nd purpose. Without Aerospace Complex, you can't launch orbital facilities from a base or reap the full benefits from orbital facilities. There is a SP which bypasses the requirement of Aerospace Complexes for benefits, but you are still required to have one in every city that wants to build orbital facilities. |

The Space Elevator SP DOES allow a player to build orbital facilities at any base w/out having to build an Aerospace Complex. What the SE doesn't give you is the morale upgrade to air units, also I think it may provide an air defense bonus. |

Maybe what i meant to say is that the SE does not give the air defense bonus, while an Aerospace Complex does. |

Exactly my point, there are SP's that give all other types of units morale upgrades (+2 for each type, then +2 to all) for a total of +4 morale to all units but air units. Seems just a little strange, that's all. |

I think that the problem lies in the way the SE is set up. It is already, IMHO, one of the more powerful SPs. Therefore, someone obviously drew the line at allowing it to act as an Aerospace complex at every base. Why, however, they didn't remove the special abilities otherwise associated with Aerospace Complexes from the SE and create a new SP I don't know. Maybe it didn't work with the tech tree? I think Orbital Insertion is too powerful an ability for an SP as it imbalances a game so badly. Leave that to a tech and maybe an upgrade and let the Space Elevator provide an aerospace in every city (which still makes it a kick-arse SP)... |

You can do orbital insertions without the Space Elevator. It simply requires Drop Pods. |
