I build an aircraft, fly it into battle, aand before I can return it to a base or air strip, it crashes for lask of fuel. How do I know when how long a plane can fly (or stay in combat), how long before it can fly again when I do land it? You can also e-mail me direct at; [email protected] |

Planes can moves 10 squares [later more] per turn. In that turn they can move their full value or attack once. Next turn they HAVE to reach a city, airbase, or carrier. Choppers are different in they get multiple attacks, but they still need to return to a safe area or "run low on fuel" and lose 3 points of damage. |

I thought the distance a plane could travel was a function of its powerplant. There is a number in the lower corner of the unit's display like "18/18" or "23/23" which shows distance remaining over maximum range. Everytime I upgrade powerplants, the maximum distance seems to get longer. BTW, when you click where you want the plane to go, the game gives you the distance to that point. Don't exceed more than half the lower number. If you have real courage, you can attempt a combined arms assault at the end of your planes's range. Coordinate an land/sea/air attack knowing that you must take the city or you'll lose your planes. Against the AI, its exciting. Against a human, it's devastating to your opponent's strategy. |
