The Humanitarians are my custom faction, but the Morgan Conglomerate is my default faction. |

SOMEBODY has to distribute the luxury and consumer goods the colonists will demand. My guess it that's Morgan. Perhaps he is the business liason on board? |

Only a warped mind would call capitalism a system for distribution of luxury and consumer goods... |

AUH: I don't mean that you necessarily are an evil, warped person, per se, but the point of view might indicate that... 0+) |

I think its quite clear that the free market is the most rational and moral allocator of wealth. Property rights are important too! |

AUH: I notice you use AOL. I suspect that means you live in a country where it is easy to walk around in any major city and watch for yourself how "moral" an "allocator" of wealth the free market is. I suggest you do so before touching the keyboard again.
'Nuff said. This isn't supposed to be a topic (or even bulletin board) on politics - even though they are an integral part of SMAC. Oh how I long for the day of the release.
So, you're allowed your (erroneous) opinion, and, sadly, it has been implemented worldwide, as well. But in SMAC, the forces of good will conquer! Death to the moneylenders! |

Or should that be 'moneychangers'?
Ah, drat! I'll simply call them capitalists. ;) |

As opposed to Sweden, where you can't spank a kid but can sleep with your daughter? The slums in America were created by Lyndon Johnson!
Oh, how I miss Imram. I seem to be the only conservative veteran on the board. |

AUH: Now then, let's try to keep things at least moderately factual, shall we? It's interesting to read that you claim that it's legal to sleep with your daughter in Sweden, when I can't seem to recall that sort of legislation being passed here. On the other hand I do seem to recall this NY film maker who was accused of doing just that (sure, she was adopted, but he did get away with it...).
You know, I think there are other ways of showing your kids what they should or shouldn't do, than spanking them... Naturally, it's hard to enforce legislation on this, but it makes it easier to nail the bastards who beat on their kids. Also, it serves as a reminder that spanking is frowned upon.
But I guess you might be one of to those who would spank kids? Or did I misunderstand your posting?
Finally, I find it highly doubtful that LBJ should have created the slums of USA. After all, Western "civilization" was around for quite a while before he showed up on the scene... |

Incest isn't illegal, from what I know about Sweden. It's not the law, it's the absence of a law. Woody Allen's life is a lot like one of his movies. |
