every time I change my profile, but not my E-mail address, the thing says that I have changed my E-Mail address & has to send me a new password, which usually sucks & is hard to type, so I change it, but again it says I changed my E-Mail address & sends me an even worse password. Please fix this!!

Amen to that! The machine calls me a liar! I didn't change my adress at all.

Good, Im not the only one with this problem, now if we could only get a few more Mike Ely would have to change it.

Only in computing would you find a statement like "Good, Im not the only one with this problem..."
Anyway, I copied this whole thread onto a mail and shot it off to the webmaster. Maybe that will help...

I got an even worse problem: when I click on my profile for Jonathan Sagan, it says my E-Mail is [email protected]. I ask it for a password. It says it has no member under the address "[email protected]"! Stupid machine <kick kick kick>

Hmmm, I just changed my password and it worked fine, although this forum script can be flaky at times. We'll check into it when we can, and in the meantime apologize for the inconvenience...

Well of course Mike Ely's works fine. The computer sees his "Firaxis" tag and bends over backwards ;)

Serves you right for having AOL. I almost had an aneurism with them so I switched to earthlink. My blood pressure is much lower now...

Oh, and Mike. Please let't not have this BBS flakiness problem be a reflection of how the game will behave.
BTW, do you ever see Sid & Brian? Are they hard at work or just waiting around for EA to send the checks? Do they really float a foot above the ground? How often do they walk on water?

Why do you hate AOL? I never had an ounce of trouble signing on. But: why am I still on AOL? They tricked us into signing on for a year! Oh well. Next feb. I'm getting @Home by TCI.net. Cable modem.

Why do I hate thee, AOL? Let me count the reasons:
1. Their e-mail sucks. You can only attach one file at a time, the editing in the text is primitive.The address is not alphabetized.
2. You can't choose another mail client.
3. Their web surfing is very slow, even if you don't use their lobotomized (actual quote from Microsft employee) version of IE3.
4. When I had them, I could sign on only 30% of the time.
5. Their tech support people take forever to get through to, and do not know jack.
6. They trick people into signing for a year ;)
Cable modem, eh. Feel my envy!!!
