I'm just curious, did y'all expect this kind of turnout on these forums so early?

So early, that's right! IT'll be months before SMAC comes out. Think about all the fresh addicts that will come walking in!

Well, I don't know how many of you were around with the old forum, but if you were, I tend to think you'd have to agree with me that it would be highly doubtful. I think in the three-four months I was there, there were only in the vacinity of a coupla thou posts, if that.
Now, in a month and a half or so, there's gotta be close to six thousand posts. Mind you, there has been a LOT more publicity for Firaxis since then...
One thing I do miss a LOT about the old Forums was that Firaxis used to post quite often. Ah, the good ol' days... *SIGHS*

I do fondly remember those days after SMG came out... Mr. Meier himself actually replied to one of my posts in Gettysburg! I have noticed a particular lack of Firaxis response on these posts-- but I think we'll see them again once SMAC actually comes out and the real flood of forum questions and posts start pouring in. I've been drooling for this game for months, and it's still months away! I wonder which will come out first... SMAC or Civ: Call to Power? Not that it matters, I guess, I would buy SMAC even if it came out 2 years too late...
