In case you haven't seen it yet, episodes 2 and 3 (an extra bonus) are in the Story section.
Also, a little survey: is there interest in having the story chapters put up as a word doc in addition to a web page (for easy downloading/printing), and is there interest in having chapters (or just the transmissions) mailed out in some kind of mailing list?

I love the idea of the stories, and yes, I would love to see some kind of link to download the stories. I also like the profiles of the crew members awakend from their sleep. I don't think they should be mailed out, I think there should be perhaps a link in a mailing list. So when a new story is up one is informend and can jump on it right away :-).

Definately Mike. Also I posted an idea in one of the other Forums about putting them all on CD when the game ships, so we can all have a permanent copy of them, for all time. That would be WAY cool!
In the interim, either a mailing list, or just downloads would be nice. Maybe zip all of a leader's little published files in one file for ease of reference too?

An E-mail message when new story chapters come out should be enough. Easy downloads would also be welcome. FIRAXIS has done a great job with this site. This is the most fun I've ever had playing a game that hasn't been released yet!

I think the stories are terrific, and the building of a backstory usually shows a committed design team (and usually signals a good game). I think the mailing list shouldn't send out chapters, but just be used as a sort of what's new on the site list, and have a section for the story. I don't really have a need for downloading, since I just read them on the web page, but once it's done I think if you compiled them all into a nice book like document it would be great, that way people could read it in it's complete form. Also, I agree with Greg, it would be great if the stories were all put on either the CD or the manual.

Yes, definately on the cd, please..... and maybe appropriate exerps for "flavor" in the manual ... ( i love little cheesy things like that)

The entire story should definatly be on the final CDROM. Maybe even have actors read them with a slide show? Just thinking big here.
Maybe on the web site, have a link to click to D/L the stories...in a PDF format should be the simplest? That way EVERYONE can read, view, print, etc...

A mail to announce when there is something new on this page would be great. Not only for the story but for the designer notes, gallery or factions stuff as well. Hmmm... But not necessarily for every new post in a forum ;-)

I definitely think many people would like to get the story sent by email to them in for example a .doc or .wps format.
The story is great and I am very impressed by the website's contents.
Cannot wait for the releaze ( spelling ? )!!!!

Story Rocks! And it's a lot of pain waiting for that next episode. And, Yea, it should be on the CD, to make sure that the future faction leaders (the players) know their history ;)

I love the stories. I personally read them straight from the web site. I don't think they need to be emailed. Unless there are people on the list that don't have web access.
I would like to see them in a final manual or on the CD. Perhaps accessable from the opening screen of the game?

I'd like to see the thing downloadable when done and on the CD. I don't need to be mailed because I'm sure anyone who would recieve the mail looks at the site often anyway. I also want to see me in the story<--------shameless plug there.

And i think Soccer judges sucks (sorry ive just watched a cracy judge throw out two 2 of my countrys (Denmark Denmark �ber alles...) players in the world champioship of soccer)
