The year is 2500. The planet wars have ended. The University faction reigns supreme as all other factions have been eliminated...almost.
The University has 20 bases and will not try to expand unless that number decreases.
Only half of the planet has been explored by UofP with the rest being totally unknown to them. You control one city that is deep in the hidden part of the map. Into this one city has crowded the few surivivers who have escaped the UofP's horrors they inflict on captured citizens.
Your one base can't expand but you can capture UofP bases because you are provided with 5 elite probe teams & troop transports.
Your 1 city can support a very large number of troops for free & you can build other military units.
You select which faction you want to play as and the victory conditions are either to recapture your faction's fallen capital which will be well guarded or capture the UofP's capital which is most certainly well guarded.
All the while you have to defend your lone base. The UofP has scouts going through the unknown lands to find any refugees and bring them into the empire.....as test subjects!
