Can you send me a saved game just before a asteroid hit your base, to [email protected]. PLEASE!!!!!!!

ProvostB, there is no asteroid impact. It is a myth, legend, hoax. Take your pick.

The IS an astroid impact accodinging to the strategy guide(never seen it myself though, but saw a file on cd that might be for it). It only happen(EXTREMLY RARE)to a player in 1st place.

also, one thing to note, is that more different types of random events happen as you progress up the difficulty levels. I think the 'roid is only in the top couple.

I have seen the hive get smashed with one when I was playing the peacekeepers. I was mighty pleased.

It happened once in my game too. The gaians were #1 and I was their neighbour .
The rock took out 4 of their bases and 20 turns later the Gaians were begging for mercy

I was looking through the script.txt file, which contains all the language for the text boxes in the game. The asteroid text is located under the event name "EATTHIS"

Where are the pics that come up during the events stored?

The pics are in the SMAC directory, along with all the other pics (new neutrients discovered, etc) for events.
What is the lowest level an asteroid has occured on? Librarian? Thinker? Transcend?
