How can someone leave a PBEM game without messing things up. If they resign does the computer take over for them?

No, the only option is to find a replacement player.Having the ability to remove a human player from a PBEM game has been an oft-suggested/requested enhancement. But since FurXs has no desire to fix the bugs in SMAC, it is doubtful that they will add any user suggested enhancements either. And since this enhancement is related to PBEM, it is *extremely* doubtful (read probability 0.00) that it will ever be done. SMAX n ... Ted S. |

Can't you just give your bases to another faction? or.. <snicker> one base to each faction, and watch them duke it out? |

...or raze all your bases? mmm...maybe you can't do that to your HQ? |

You could PB your HQ. More specifically, a mindworm released to the wild adjacent to your HQ, that would certainly get everyones attention. |

I don't think you can give away your HQ. And I've heard that when the first human player in a PBEM is eliminated, the game ends. But I've also heard that there's a way to edit the turn just before the player's about to lose his last base, and turn over control to that faction to the AI. Is this true? Anyone? |
