There were many things that I left out on my last post (which I really wanted to be my last post). Ironically, there's more I wanted to do. And this is what I have done about JKM's article. I suggest all of you do something similiar:
I sent the url to many online gaming magazines asking them to address the issue.
Posted the url in as many Newsgroups/Usenet As I could (hopefully have more time to post more).
Sent the Url and my summary of the article, via snail mail, to many hardcopy game magazines.
Printed JKM's article, taped it to my SMAC box along with everything that came with it and sent it to Firaxis Co.--postage due--demanding my refund.

I think many of us want a written, OFFICIAL, apology by JKM. Please sign in this topic if you do.

I like it, StargazerBC, ironic and effective. If JKM thinks it was such a fine idea to put these words into, uh, print(?) then we ought to do him the favor of publicizing them as widely as possible. I'm sure that they will be just as favorably receive elsewhere as here.
Also, taking JKM at his word regarding refunds is a nice touch. I'll probably follow you along that path.
But I'm really posting here to say goodbye (and thanks for all the fish!). I'll likely be following you into the void. Not much reason left to hang around here. The TIs busted the game's flawed design a long time ago--and patch 4.0 is just plain busted (hope you caught that the unlimited range missile *still* exists). With no hope left that Firaxis listens to earnest critiques, it's all more or less a waste of time.

I haven't posted here in a while, and now I know why! I look at this board and just think: "All you guys are idiots!" You don't like it, return it and leave this ****ing board! Jeez, you make me sick! I'm going back to Firaxis forums where I can talk to those that enjoy SMAC!

And this stupid idea that Firaxis never read this board. Is it because people engage in stupid useless flaming? I mean come on. You weren't been here when the game was coming out! Brian posted a lot as did Chris Pine! Some people like their games and the people involved (I actually got to talk to BR on ICQ! WooHoo). So shut up!

And why is it you keep calling Jeff Morris's idea stupid? JM said send the game back to the developing company if the seller wouldn't take it. What's your problem with that? StargazerBC is just following Jeff's advice. So, are you saying JM is a freaking moron?
