Yes. Oh, the irony. And I'll quote MtG:
"Shagged dope - who exactly are you talking too? If enough people here (it's a democratic thing) get sick of you - we'll just ban your IP and be rid of you, 'til you steal another credit card from your mommy's wallet and get another ISP account."
So all you people who ran from one **** site because of the Trip ban are now on another, even ****tier site ruled by a tyrant who, not long ago, was some psedo anti-censorship champion. What a pathetic joke.
I blame all of this, of course, on Firaxis.

You are of course correct. However, our parliament of whores over at ACOL is unlikely to resist such a move, given that Shaggy is a pathetic excuse for a **** and is more reminiscent of Chrisk than Trip (comparing Shaggy and Trip is an indirect insult to trip, I go so far to say).
It's not pretty, but at least it's more democratic than JKM's nark-on-your-neighbours policy.
Which begs the question, if a lynch mob is basically democracy in it's basest from, why don't we allow more of them...

I actually think banning people in a certain context is fine. But the context at ACOL was "Let's leave here because of censorship. We won't ban people." I'm not taking any of this seriously, mind you. It's all quite funny, actually.
By the way, how goes your end of the Civ3 List?

Regarding ACOL, a person can get banned, same as here. But the process should include at least some "chill out" warning letting a person know "there were complaints about you." Most informers don't have the guts to try and resolve things beforehand or even say "I'm telling", so it falls to the admin to break the news to an offender.

A person that deliberatly tries to screw up a site can be banned. A person who critisizes the game should not. MtG was completely in the right.

It's nice to see that the Fireaxis is so bored with this forum that he has to lurk on ours.

Actually, Lady Kitty, the only thing that can get you banned from ACOL is hacking and purposely trying to destroy threads and topics. That's all, according to Flu and MtG. Shaggy wasn't doing neither. So MtG was WRONG to threaten Shaggy.
Or did he HTML a thread to death? Pointless or insulting spammings do not kill a thread... they just dirty it.

I've done more coherent criticising of Firaxis than you could possibly imagine. I just posted a long criticism of Jeff's article and Firaxis' web presence, as a matter of fact. When they do something right, however, like take a bug list seriously, I praise them for it. Is it really that hard for you to sort the two things out?
Anyway, keep entertaining me. It's been a slow few days.

I just realized that people might not know what a chigger is. From Websters:
"a 6-legged mite larva (family Trombiculidae) that sucks the blood of vertebrates and causes intense irritation"
Seems about right in this case. I first encountered that word playing Treasure Hunt, a cartride text game for the Commodore Vic20. Anybody remember that one?

Yin you are quite right about his usage of the B word....but we will keep him in line if we have to otherwise there will be another incident like what happened here. At least we have the illusion that we can keep him in line . And yes it was quite ironically funny. And I know what chiggers are. You and chagarra need to put the differences behind you and just agree to disagree, but do it in a civil way. Just my two cents.
