Down here in the southern USA, us Baptists have a habit of keeping a prayer list. The idea is to pray for divine intervention for friends and loved ones who have health or other problems.
Old_Warrior and his family are having some health problems right now. I will be praying for him and if any of the rest of you want to join in, welcome.
I think it would be okay if folks post here to show him some support.
[BTW, this is a serious post and not one of my jimmytricks. If any of you guys want to make fun of me, the idea of prayer, Baptists, or argue about the existence of God, please start another thread.]

Although I don't know him, I still wish him well.
Its a cruel-sounding phrase, but I like the quote "God imposes nothing on us that he has not prepared us to bear."
So to Old Warrior, I wish God's grace, to bear the burdens that life brings, and hope that the burden is lightened.

I just stopped by to say how much my wife and I thank you and appreciate what you all have said in here. And to those who replied but didnt know me , that just shows me that you are a good hearted person to begin with and is appreciated as much as what is said by others who do. And a little special thanks to JT for getting you all to post and send to me your zen thoughts of goodness...or your prayers ,whatever... Thanks to you all.I have posted a little more detail at ACOL then here but that is because I stopped there first and am now getting really spaced out from the drugs. Just to let you know yesterday and today's news was good for a change. Thanks again,sincerely...Tom and Elaine (my wife)

Damn'it, never ready with that "longevity vaccine" SP when a friend need it!
Well, now that the news are better I feel free for a little of that "Patch Addams" cure
Seriusly now, I've got a cancer more than six years ago, so I can imagine as you feel. I cured it, and now all seems ok, but into the darkest days some smiles help me a little.
I'm crossing fingers for you and your wife (well, I hope it's the right translation of an italian - some century ago catholic's symbol - gesture of good luck).

Thank you JT, for allowing all of us a chance to demonstrate some compassion and humanity, instead of the incessant drone of whines and flames.
