Hello all,
Some of you vets may remember me from about 3 months back. My newbie dumbass had a short lived flame war with Singularity. Since then I have been lurking in the forum, just listening. I thought I start this thread, well because I can. And because I think a few people in the forum are recognized as repectable and level-headed posters. So by the same token, I think we should also honor those who have done nothing but making this forum a pain in the ass.
So, cast your vote for the SMAC Forum Dumb-Ass of the year Award.
PS. Some of you may think that this post serves no purpose. And should belong in the dumb-ass category as well. All I can say is, I got my blow torch ready. So flame on.

As a PS... who was it who trashed a load of threads with smileys? Was that Kapitan? If so, then he would come a very close second in the vote... but he disappeared very fast, whereas IDF has persisted long enough to win the race to DumbAss Of The Year. And what's more, IMHO, whoever IDF really is, he knows better and is therefore even more qualified for the title.

A close second is Chrisk, absolutely the most abrasive person I've ever seen. So abrasive in fact, that CWAL HV adopted him as cannon fodder extraordinaire.

Ok folks. This thread is getting some very good responce. But keep in mind. I am not counting the votes til midnight wednesday. So, anyone can still win. Even though it looks like idf is winning by a landslide.
Allow me the open this thread up even more. What do you think the Dumbass of the Year winner should win? At this point, I'm so entertained. I'm welling the cough up my own resources and award the dumbass with whatever that maybe appropriate.

I'd like to recall my vote for IDF. It appears he's offered a sincere apology at the ACOL site and if it is sincere I couldn't vote for him anymore. So my vote goes to Misho the Titoist(Not,the one from the Jackson 5 by the way) and his lame anti-americanism in the Non-SMAC forum.

Definitely Karihari, for his mix of arrogance, his ludicrous religious defense of Gayphobia*, and his general manner and idiotic insistance that CtP wasn't a crap commerical ripoff. And this guy did not work for Activision - he was a total loser by himself.
Sorry, IDF, but you seem more inept that truly irritating. But it's always last years release that wins the "All time best ever Album contest", so that's why you'll win this one. You do get my second place vote, however, for your fine work on ACOL.

Is it really fair to pick Itdoesntfit yet? Shouldn't we give him a while to blend in? I remember when Alphaman first hit this site, he got on the nerves of quite a few in the Gen Topic Forum (not mine though). Alphaman eventually became fairly normal. Others fit this pattern too.

Koshko: Alphaman never threated to wreck the Non-SMAC forum, he just some vaguely offensive stuff about geeks and virgins and so one. Perfectly normal behavior by internet standards - just ask HARDMAN. Itdoesn'tfit, as well as having the dumbest name on these forums (+ dumbest reason for having the dumbest name), made a total fool of himself on ACOL and posted dozens of pointless, irritating threads in the game forum. His fame is justified, especially under the title of DumbAss.

This is the fourth resurfaced thread I've seen in 10 minutes here... it must be a vast right-wing conspiracy .
I'd have to vote for Chrisk. I'm not vet enough to remember zorlath, and I only vaguely remember RIM-mer. HARDMAN was too humorous to be annoying. Iitdoesn'tfit, although he was very annoying, mostly started his own threads. Chrisk screwed up just about every single sci-tech thread... my favorite was "you remind me of the people I used to beat up in high school"... he probably never finished grade school .
Note: onepaul apologized and admitted that thread bombing was a stupid thing to do. I'm not sure if sam spammer did or not. Kapitan comes in a close second in my vote because he bombed threads *and* posted offensively; sam spammer just bombed a few threads. Kalahari has only posted 8 comments so he's not that bad. I don't remember domk...

Chrisk screwed up just about every single sci-tech thread... my favorite was "you remind me of the people I used to beat up in high school"... he probably never finished grade school .
