posted 07-16-99 10:53 AM ET I was plying this morning and the Spartans sent a few units after one of my cities, I had 2 garrison troop defenders and had pulled my formers in to the city for protection. THe Spartans attacked my city and destroyed my formers without my gaurd units engaging them. Why is that?

Hmmm you didn't accidentally set the Former unit to be the primary defender, did you? In fact, *can* you set a non-combat unit to be a defender? Never tried it... Can't think of any other way this could happen, unless the two garrison units were so badly damaged that the Former was used to defend by default. Never seen that happen, although I think it's technically possible... anyone confirm/deny?

Maybe the formers were the highest-strength units?

I use armored formers, so they dont get the penalty for psi attacks...
~kelso one weird idea after another...
