Ahh, I'd just wrapped up my last game of smac so I started a new one up. Same old settings; large planet, lib level, gaians. I start the game and start sending out my scouts. oh crap, my boundries are screwed up, someone's near. before i know anything yang plops down an undefended base right next to my scout. I turn down the treaty and take the base next turn, it dissapered like it should and I start to play pod lotto and manage to corner yang with one base. I expand only to find miram (crap) and morgan (yeah! energy!) next to me. While I'm expanding towards them I use some captured mindworms to take the hive, i also plop down a base the same turn. Yang escapes in a pod (****!) and I scroll over to find that my new base has a permeter fence! What the **** just happened? If anyone is curious ill send them the save.~kelso

The perim defense you got is because when you capture a base with a pop >1, (pop 1 bases disappear), you inherit all the facilities. And since yang has PD's at each base, voila!Wank |

You don't inherit *all* facilities. Some of them get destroyed when you take over the cities. But it's true, Yang's PD seem to stay there.Aredhran

Well, strange, whenever I capture bases, it seems that ALL the facilities stay there.Wank |

But wait, I took over two undefended bases of Yang (besides his capital), and I'm sure I didn't get no two pd's. Would one be destroyed and not the other? |

Wait, I just read over and some of you sound confused-One of the bases I put down (a gaian base) got a free PD. |
