The wooden door, which was sealed eons ago (well, actually, two weeks), busts open. In the darkness behind, two bright, eliptical spots of red light appear. They become larger and larger, get closer and closer, until, finally, a hooded figure walks out of the mysterious stone building. This being waited long for this moment, regenerating itself inside the structure. With a loud voice the hooded figure shouts into the void:
-WHAT HAVE I MISSED!?

Hmmm were you around when Trip got banned and loads of people went off to ACOL? Anyway, quite a few people are now over there (as well as still here, in many cases), so I suppose you could check it out if you haven't already. Nell you are still here. I wasn't sure if you still hanged around here anymore. And I was hoping to find a place to buy crack from the title of this thread. Nobody offers it too me anymore now that I'm old.

I am registered at ACOL, however, my profile was not filled until today. Maybe that's why you were unable to find my nick...

Well... Trip got into a flame war with someone (I've forgotten the ID... it all happened while I was away for a few days) and JKM banned Trip but not the other guy... (the official reason being that Trip had used a lot of four-letter words in his posts, but the suspicion being that Trip was banned, at least in part, for being a vocal critic of SMAC and Firaxis). There was a lot of fuss and a lot of anti-censorship sentiments were expressed... and many of the regular posters decided to move to ACOL instead of here... although a lot of us are still here as well, because for all it seems that Trip was banned hastily and arguably unfairly, this is still a good forum and, although it makes life a bit harder having to keep up with two forums at once, I do still lurk about here. I've just been away in general over the last couple of weeks. I expect that the "Trip vs JKM" threads are still on the board... set it to show the older threads and you'll see them, most likely, if you're interested
ACOL's pretty good... sorry I missed your ID in the list... must be getting old(er)

Hmmm don't you find that, as you get older (I prefer "mature", myself... ), and therefore have far more of the folding stuff at your command, you get offered *more* drugs and not less? Or am I hanging about with the wrong crowd? hehe

Nell: It seems I have missed a lot. A major flame war, several large discussions... Phew... One goes away for 2 weeks and look what happens .
As far as I can tell, ACOL has potentiall (all the "main" forumers from this forum are present there), but it needs to gain some "traffic" (right now it only takes seconds to load ). About the nickname: No need to apologize. It wasn't activated (I started posting today), so maybe that's why my nick was unavailable on the list.
