I spent all day playing and didn't run into any, but I know they are there. What are the bugs?

You ask us?Fine, because we'll find them and we care. Firaxis doesn't. Go and ask Sid and Brian on a Sinday morning as they're polishing their new Ferraris. Resource Consumer - cynicle, moi? -

Love it"Sinday" - either ask Miriam or Barbie (sorry, Deidre) .. and it should be "cynical". I think (somewhat out of practice, which is slightly embarassing as it's the sa,e as English) Resource Consumer - linguistically crippled - |

The most annoying bug still in patch 4 ist the Golden Age Bug. It was this bug I waited for, but they didn't fix it. The Golden Age Bug means that you don't get population booms with Democracy/Childrens Creche/Golden Age which results in growth +6. With Democracy/Childrens Creche/Planned Economy this works fine and I use it a lot. It gives you a heavy development boose from sometimes average 7 city size to nearly 18 (for PK). The bug is especially bad for Morgan who can't use any population boom (My games are usually over before I build Cloning Vats). There are also bugs in multiplayer. I can't use crawlers to support SPs, and many of the options don't work as they should. But apart from this I think the number of bugs is now small enough to play without trouble. I have only one wish for future developments: Make the AI much much better than it is now. Now you can win simply if you understand all the rules by nearly every strategy. |

WHAT THE HECK IS A 'nexus manifold'?! Those words don't go together! Other than that.. i don't have any problems with the 4.0 patch. I still want orbital weapons platforms though (I know, i've been saying that a lot). |

I recently installed v4.0 and observed a strange effect that I can only describe as a bug. I wanted to know if anyone else has seen this behavior. Here's what happened: I have a fighter plane attacking an empty enemy city. I devided "what the hell, never done this before and want to see what happens". The attack consisted of a bombing run targeted on the empty city. I click and nothing happens. Ok, ho-hum. Next turn, I see that my plane is completely re-fueled. Hmmm. I fly around to spend fuel and try again. Next turn the plane is completely re-fueled. Ok. This is neat. I keep the plane up doing bombing runs (never landing) to see how long I can keep the plane in the air, and so far, I haven't been able to crash it. That is, of course, as long as the enemy city remains empty. Has anyone seen this before? Mind you, I've hardly read through this forum so I don't know if this is a known (unknown to me) behavior. Excuse the possible crosspost:Bugs in v4 (or ones that may have existed earlier but I never found): 1. Probe team menu item 'assassinate researchers' does not appear. 2. Self-Aware Colony does not fully work, maintainence is halved but no extra police. 3. Non-lethal methods does not always work. With police rating of 0 or 1 there is no effect. 4. When Psi attack SAM unit attacks non-psi SAM unit there is no 1:1. Instead the non-psi gets the usual attack strength, say 13:1 for shard vs. psi interceptor. 5. And perimeter defenses seems to work differently or not at all. Still looking into this one. 6. And, of course, the other glitches not fixed, fudged difficulty settings, popup windows that don't fit etc. |
