I just got a new high score for me, 11145 with the Gaians, I'm working on perfecting my strategy with them. I got up to Tran. thought 335, I love it when you have 90 bases and get 5 techs per turn.

I usually Transcend about 20 turns after VoP which I start building immediately. |

How the heck do you get 90 bases? I play this game like 6 hours a day but i still hardly know how to work it. |

The 90 bases? Easy, make colony pods with drop pods and do orbital insertions. With many of my transcendence victories, i could have conquered the planet completely long ago. On my best one, the believers only had one base left, and I completely surrounded it with demon boils. Then I just waited. My typical base was about 54 pop., and automated formers just didn't do the trick, so I had to run them all manually, about 2-3 per base. Of course support wasn't a problem becausemost bases had a production of around 150, one at the Borehole cluster had over 300. Of course that many bases isn't normal, I had to build more to keep my tech up as cost increased. By the end of the game I had about 1,000,000 energy credits (20,000 per turn) and could just buy the ascent. Of course part of it was luck, if my satellites had been blown away, I would have been screwed. I had about 100 of each type up in orbit. I had to leave off ironman though because the manual formers ate time like you wouldn't believe, and I do have to sleep no matter how long I want to stay up playing SMAC. By the way, even with all going to economy I would still have to put up with it once a turn. |
