I think I am by far the best player ever to play SMAC if any one would like to oppose my opinion feel free.

(Just kidding, I don't think I'm that good - but I can still beat the crap out of the AI. I haven't tried Transcend level yet, though... but give me a couple more games and I'll get back to you)
Go MP to match wits with someone if you really want to know ! I'm sure some of the people in the Transcend Ironmen threads could probably teach you a lesson or two... (Analyst ?)

I have played on transcend level and did OK but not really well. It was extremely difficult diplomatically and the AI seemed to beable tu churn out SPs about 20 turns after discovering them. Im telin' ya it was not easy. I think that the computer gets a large advantage over you on transcend level anyway so it was not surprising thanks for the tip on the MP game. I might try it sometime. I have not tried MP yet on the internet. Maybe I should
