I wish I had a setting that said "don't automatically attack" but that didn't imply, "come to a dead stop when you're passing an enemy". That would be a big time saver.

For one, don't start a new thread for every wish, it clogs up the list of threads. And you can do that by turning on confirm attack(or is it show odds) which asks you before an attack. |

Corwin's right ... turn off all the "stop for units" settings and turn on confirm odds before attacking (this also fixes the bombing run problem from the earlier versions I think).James |

Not quite what I was looking for. When I tell a unit to move into an enemy square, I want it to attack. When I move a unit next to an enemy square, I want it to keep moving. I don't want to attack friendlies, though. As far as I can tell, there isn't a combo that will do this except the confirm -- and that really gets old in the middle of a war.Jeez, Corwin. Why don't you spend your time nagging the idiots who waste space whining about CTP vs. SMAC, the same old bugs, the Kosovo war, etc. etc. At least my post was on-topic. I don't suppose it occured to you that these things may have popped into my head independently? Chill out, man. |
