This may seem unlikely given the capture of faction leaders when they are eliminated but. I think it could be cool if you could bring eliminated factions back into the game by giving them cities.Doesn't seem to be much point to it since the goal is to win the game but it seems like an interesting idea. But any such reinstated faction would be sworn to serve you. (At least for a time). Could be useful early on as a way to gain votes.. speed up overall research if they make discoveries you don't, and I often like to use other factions as a buffer to put between me and someone else while I build peacefully.

I'd vote for this idea... I always try to keep all the other factions alive as long as possible, even if this means giving them units, techs, money or bases, because it's much more interesting than just having a race between two mega-powers. I do use the "Restart eliminated players" option, but once they have to begin again in midgame with only one base, they never manage to get far. So, having the option of giving them a few good bases to help them out (in return for alliance, of course!) seems a good idea |

Submissive factions are money in your pocket!(I almost feel like putting "-- CEO Nwabudike Morgan" under that statement!) |

I like this idea!I have played games that I would have liked to have been able to set up my fallen Allies back in the game. You know, the Hive elimanates Morgan. You capture the Hive's capital. Be nice to release Morgan and give him a city or three (Away from the Hive, obviously :-) and reinitiate the Alliance or something. Guess even one turn in the punishment spheres breaks them to effectively for that... -Darkstar |
