THANX GUYS! in the end i got SMAC and im trying to play it but... NOOOOOOO MY GAME IS SCREWED! everytime i try to launch the game it doesnt start windows flashs and im at desktop, i did what the tech support said but it still didnt work... anyone else get this? if u had this or know how to fix it plzzzzzzzzzz reply i reallyyyyyyyyyy wanna play Alpha Centauri!

What version of SMAC are you running? What are you're computer specs? Did you try the sound fix (ds3d=0 eax=0) ? Are you running 1024 x 768 (which doesn't work BTW)?

People who fail to notice the little line directly to the left of where they're typing their message that says "*HTML is OFF" should not try to use HTML code in their message when calling someone else a moron. It has a tedency to make them look really foolish. heheh

Anyway, BACK TO THE SUBJECT, I had that same problem with Civ:CTP. If you are loading it into the C: Drive, try loading it into the D: drive, or vice versa. The hard drive you use most might be full, so switch to the other one. CTP did the exact same thing, so I reinstalled it in my other hard drive, and presto, it works!
