HELP!!! If anyone has an opinion of which is better plz reply , i cannot decide which to get , i can get a game every 2 months and StarCraft is my fav game and i love the SMAC demo but i cant decide which , so plz reply and help me out!!!

I have both and I think they are both great games. If I were you I would get BW now and Alpha Centuari in two months. Here's my reasoning: BW is simply a great game. The campaigns (especially the first one) are great. If you just play the first mission you will be addicted. Another nice thing is that there are no known bugs and the map hack is gone.
Alpha Centuari on the other hand still has some difficulties to be worked out, just like Starcraft did at first. Just recently I was cheated out of a small amount of minerals. I admit that it had a very small effect on the game but still bugs like that shouldn't exist. In two months this game will be sufficiently patched and you will be done with the BW campaings (and had some fun on bnet).
I play Brood War two hours a day and I also play Alpha Centuari two hours a day so I don't think that I am biased.

I have both SMAC and Brood Wars too. From my perspective, I would say SMAC is your better choice. Why? After a week or two, maybe a month, Brood Wars will be played out. What will you do for the next month? SMAC, however, has layers of depth and replayability. It is very unlikely that you will have "solved" all its challenges in two months. Sure, in two months you may be ready for a little variety. Get Brood Wars at that time, play it, solve it, and then you can still go back to SMAC.
