Just asking-Who did this and who'd you use?

I've done it with Deirdre and the Gains, even playing with tech stagnation and not unity pod scattering [= no podlotto for techs]. The trick [for me] was population growth, hefty trade income after bashing the other factions into submission, and lots of orbital facilities. It can be done.
