I was wondering what your favorite faction to kill is? I personally like killing the Believers cause I can't stand how ugly Miriam is. A close 2nd is Brother Lal cause he usually pisses me off by voting against me in the council

First - Miriam. Wither and die, you religious freak! Second - Yang. I can never, ever get along with him. Third - Deidre. She never gets along with me either because my planned economics are "bloated" and "wasteful".

The Hive first, I can't seem to go through a game without smacking them around at least once, no matter who I am.second, the Gaians, 'cuz they're an easy target.

My favorite faction to slaughter is undoubtedly the Hive. Liberating all of those helpless drones into the glories of scientific progress under the University of Planet's banner gives me a rush of intellectual, sociological, and, yes, even moral enlightenment that is unparalleled in the game. Moreover, Chairman Yang is even more grotesque than Miriam is, although I'm not saying Zakharov is is one of the beautiful people, either. |

I absolutely love killing:1. Lal. He ALWAYS Threatens me with PBs. This makes me very, very mad. 2. Believers. I hate probes, I hate how she is represented (in history, religion has often been the source, not the bane, of research), and I truly loathe her picture. C'mon - religious icons are almost always either completely chaste, or very, very sexy. Can't we have the latter? 3. UoP. He often pisses me off by not being willing to trade, by attacking me stupidly, and by giving up his capital to others before I can get to it. 4. Dierdre. Just for the "she is in your quarters ready for personal interrogation" thing. I knew probes were good for something. Morgan, when I'm not playing him, generally dies too early. I usually like getting along with him, because he always likes to trade and seems the underdog, for the comp at least. Santiago and Yang - I always consider them to be my arch enemies. As such, I don't like wiping them out all the way, but rather savor their deaths. Gardener Geraden |

Miriam and Yang tend to be my first targets as well; I usually play Dierdre or Morgan, so they are out. Santiago is usually not a significant faction, but if she becomes annoying, I'll take her out. I never declare war, but I will relentlessly prosecute a war against anyone who actually attacks me. I usually have an exceptionally strong economy, so I can afford to buy those nifty prototypes to maintain the technological edge. One of the most enjoyable games I have played was a "girls vs. boys" MP game; I was playing the Gaians, and my friend was playing the Spartans. The other five factions were computer controlled. Well, Miriam, for whatever reason, joined into a pact with each of us (we were already pacted to each other) and the three of us wasted Lal and Yang. We haven't found Morgan or Zakhorov yet, but I don't see them working with us; my green economy and Miriam's religious fervor are not likely to impress Morgan or Zakharov, respectfully... |

Although I agree that whenever I don't play Yang he must die, he's not the most pleasureable to kill. That honor goes to Brother "give me a piece and I'll give you peace" Lal. Die, you whining hypocritical toady, DIE! CROSS ME AGAIN AND I'LL SHOVE PEACE DOWN YOUR BLOODTHIRSTY THROAT!!!!Excuse me. I feel much better now. |

Got to be the Hive! Hive must die! Although they usually get their hides into so much trouble they're rarely a significant threat.Aside from that it's hard to say. I started out playing Peacekeepers but I'm too much into my own thing that I replaced them with my own faction after the first game. I even changed the pic to one of me. (Lal is way to old for Deidre!) Believers would be next on my list for all the reasons next on my list. Unfortunately I never see them either because I replaced them with a faction of oversexed nymphos. (Yes I most definately changed the pic! and yes I know I need professional help.. -grin- but it's not even R rated yet so I'm not THAT bad -weak attempt at a look of innocence). Spartans usually leave me a loan if I smack good once or twice. So next on my list would be UoP! Cheap sob never wants to trade or pay for technology and is always getting his butt in trouble. Morgan is always getting wiped out by Spartans or Nymphos so I haven't had much chance to deal with him. But basically I'm too nice to really enjoy wiping people out unless I have serious issues with their policies or they're just ticking me off. |

Definitely the Hive. With their free defenses, they become unbeatable rather quickly (as soon as they get plasma steel) and stay that way for quite a time. So get them while you still can. Oh, has anyone noticed that Yang leaves his cities undefended at the beginning of the game ? I declare vendetta on him, move up to his only city, he has a scout patrol right next to it and doesn't move it into the city ... scratch one hive.

Hive and Believers are prime targets. Reason: they are expansionists. By M.Y. 2200 they have around 15 bases each if they started on a huge island. After that, it's almost impossible to take them out becuase they have so many units. |

Yang: Because evil atheist police state neo-Communist emperor warlords piss me off.Miriam: Because religious fundamentalists also piss me off. |

Like everyone else, I have to say the Hive and Believers. They are annoying.I try to stay at good terms with Morgan. He usually lags bigtime in Population and Tech (he grows slow and I've never seen him making a sea Colony), but he has incredible money. I'll sell low level tech to him. The Spartans are willing to buy tech also, but I'm leery about them. Some games they are more than willing to Pact, while others they'll Vendetta right off. I've never wasted Dierde before except for Conquest games. The Peacekeepers go down, if they are near my starting place. I won't chase them down though. I'll let them be if they are comparitively small, but the University must die if they get any momentium. |

Shared first place: Hive and Believers. Why, cause they always pronounce vendetta against my peacefull, democratic, science loving a-agressive faction. |

Any faction that I am NOT! :-)Believers tend to be on my all-time top favorites to eliminate (due to their aggresiveness and shoving of convictions down others throats). PK since they seem to be the Nuke Tossing Ghandi of Civ (I can't stand hypocrits (sp?)) And the Hive (when I am not them and they are a big blue bear). -Darkstar |

My favorite faction to kill is probably the UoP. First, I go in w/ my probes and steal all of their tech. Then I take over their bases. Since all have network nodes, it is very useful. |

Miriam at #1 - she's aggressive, unreliable, and usually an easy kill. Since her bonus applies only to attack, I can usually wallop her by staying on the offensive.Yang is #2. I don't get any great joy out of killing him, and I don't find him mortally dangerous. However, he usually declares war on me, and it's easier to knock him out than declare peace. I don't normally try to knock out Lal. Although he's a hypocrite, he's also a patsy. Each time he declares war on me, I take one or two of his big cities until he declares peace. Then he goes on, builds more, and gives them to me in the next war. It's really an effective growth strategy. |

I usually play the UOP. 1.) Miriam. I hate Religious fundementalists and her picture is ugly. She's also warlike & ruthless. Her cities are soft & reasonably easy to crack, but she's got alot of them. 2.) Lal, he's erratic, untrustworthy & spineless. He's peaceful right? The how come he's building PB's 3.) the hive. Their cities are hard to crack & you get to punish a despot. I like Diedre because she's got a cute picture & her environmentalist aggenda doesn't bother me. The Spartans & the morganites are nuetral. But I'm more inclined to destroy the Spartans than the morganites. |

I find the University easiest to kill. Those brainiacs may be ahead in technology, but the AI hardly builds any military units. The Morganites are rather easy, too. The faction I absolutely hate is the Hive. They are a pain, and rather tough to kill with their damned perimeter defenses. |
