This is a place for newbies that are terrible at SMAC or simply new to the forums. It is a safe haven where we can hide from the all-powerful trandescent veterans of the Forums, who constantly ridicule us and affront us. Here, these supercilious veterans hold no power over us, and we can speak freely and express the opinions that we previously had not the guts to post. Newbies Unite!

B. Which transcendant veterans have you been talking to? We only dislike some of you, and upon initial inspection you aren't an evil lemur who makes posts like "SMAC SucKZ D00DZ get a REAL life. any1 goot WAR3Z?"

it's just a joke, a sort of backlash to most of the newbie bashing that goes on. i posted this when i saw the Trandescent Ironmen ONLY! thread. i don't have anything against you veteran types. heck, most of you are pretty funny and intelligent. so don't get too annoyed at this thread. I doubt anyone will post here anyway.

No problem. But the people who started up the "Transcendant Ironman Players Only" thread weren't exactly vets either, just people pretty darn good at SMAC. But if you go by how long they've been on the forum, they're newbies with you. If you want to see forum veterans, go down to the I Club in the Off-Topic forums to find us.
