![]() ![]() ![]() When messing around with the map editor, I found a "natural landmark" called the Nessus Canyon. Upon placing it, it forms a nice green canyon that looks like it would be great for building on. I've played around 50 games of SMAC and I've NEVER seen it before. Is this an inactive landmark or am I just really unlucky? |

![]() ![]() ![]() I have never seen it either. maybe it is in one of the scenarios. |

![]() ![]() It's been in the list of landmarks in the alpha.txt file since the first release, but I've never seen it either. Maybe it only shows up if you're playing on the huge size world map? |

![]() ![]() ![]() True. And also the Borehole cluster doesn't get a place on the map of Planet. It would be nice to see these added. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Somebody in another thread said they saw a Borehole Cluster (I haven't, and I hope when I do it doesn't belong to Morgan). I have also never seen the Nessus Canyon. I wonder if they might be new in 3.0? I think one of the new features included one or more landmarks. |

![]() ![]() I've never seen Nessus Canyon either, and I almost ALWAYS play on a huge map. The borehole cluster will NOT appear on any of the maps of planet, nor will it appear on any game that was created prior to the 3.0 patch. |

![]() ![]() ![]() The Nessus Canyon is Diedre dancing naked in the trees. no one has seen it yet. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() Borehole cluster I actually saw the first time I installed the 3rd patch... Nessus Canyon I have yet to see, it is quite a pity - I think it one of the nicer landmarks (and the only one that can actually have terrain "below" sea level). Is there any way (maybe a file) that determines which landmarks are enabled or not? Cyberwz |

![]() ![]() ![]() Just make a custom map. |
